Environmental impact reduction
Reducing our environmental footprint is one of the main priorities of the group. We act on energy consumption, water use, waste management, emissions and process efficiency in order to reduce the impact of our industrial activities. Both Cromoplastica and Prad are committed to improving their environmental performance through concrete actions: optimized production processes, cleaner technologies, responsible waste treatment, progressive integration of more sustainable materials and continuous monitoring of key environmental indicators. Our objective is to reduce our impact at the source, while maintaining the high level of quality, durability and aesthetic performance expected by our clients.
Responsible technologies and cleaner processes
Innovation is a key driver of our sustainability strategy. We continuously invest in technologies that allow us to improve performance while reducing environmental impact. At Cromoplastica, this includes the development of PVD Magnetron Sputtering and the progressive transition towards electroplating processes free from CrVI, through the use of alternative manganese-based solutions. At Prad, this includes the development of greener lacquering and liquid metallisation solutions, such as water-based systems, low-VOC or VOC-free solutions, and formulations free from CMR substances when technically possible.<br /> These innovations allow us to offer high-end decorative solutions with a lower environmental impact, without compromising on quality, resistance or visual results.
Circular economy and resource recovery
The group is committed to improving the way resources are used, recovered and reintroduced into the value chain. Cromoplastica uses a patented technology enabling the recovery of metals from industrial sludge generated by the chemical-physical purification process. Since 2007, recovered materials have been reintroduced into the market, representing approximately 1,500 tons of recycled and valorized material. This approach reflects our commitment to reducing waste, limiting resource loss and contributing to a more circular industrial model.
Sustainable materials and eco-design support
We support our clients in their eco-design strategies by studying the use of more responsible materials whenever possible. Cromoplastica is progressively integrating recycled plastics, including recycled ABS and PP, as well as high-density resins for selected metal replacement applications. Prad’s activities are also aligned with the use of recyclable substrates such as glass and aluminium, while developing decorative solutions that meet both aesthetic and environmental expectations. Our role is to help clients find the right balance between design, technical performance, durability and environmental responsibility.
Social responsibility, ethics and responsible purchasing

The group promotes workplace safety, employee training, social dialogue, diversity and inclusion, as well as the prevention of harassment and discrimination.
